St Mary's Hospital is a 477 bed hospital located on the outskirts of Newport on the Isle of Wight. As the only NHS hospital on the Island, all NHS services are provided or commissioned from there. Within the hospital there is also an 11 bedded private wing.[1]
Specialist services provided at the hospital include urology, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, ear nose and throat (ENT), cardiology, gastroenterology, rehabilitation, respiratory, dermatology, care of the elderly, rheumatology, gynaecology, maternity and paediatrics.[2]
Public transport is provided by Southern Vectis route 1 bus, which runs every 6 minutes in the daytime to Newport and Cowes, along the main road.[3] Wightbus also operate limited service 30 between the two points, taking an indirect route via Gurnard.[4]
